At this time of year, we often reflect on the many things that we are thankful for. We have been so blessed in the past year, and have so many things to be thankful for.
Here is the start of my 2008 list:
1- My Children- DJ, Halle, Addison. My Husband- Jamie
2- Our health and happiness
3- The good fortune we have had the past year--the jobs we have in a down economy
4- The many wonderful friends we have all over the country. We may loose touch, not speak often, but our friends are always in our thoughts.
5- Extended family.
6- DJ and Halle's wonderful school--private schools offer so many advantages
7-Growing up in the small Utah town of Fillmore. It is always so fun to go back and visit. The kids love the 4th of July and I love the safety of the small community.
8- Gas prices dropping
9- The writers strike on television is no longer... I don't watch TV often, but like to be able to watch TV when I get the chance--going along with this is the DVR...
10-Football season
11-The crockpot. Makes dinner making in a busy day so much easier.
12-The minivan. I am mortified to admit it, but it has made travel so much easier.
I am sure that I will be adding to this list later, but this is a good start. I just hope that our children all learn to be happier for the things that they do have, and not always wanting the things that they do not have.

Halloween 2008
DJ as Tim Tebow
Halle as a Ballerina (upset that she had to wear a turtleneck)
Pippi at the zoo!
Halle, Addie and mommy went to Boo at the Zoo with some of our friends. It was so much fun! There was a lot of different themes throughout the zoo... Some of my favorite memories. Addie got some candy from a very scarry person. She said, "thank you scarry monsta".. He cracked up and said "that is the cutest thing I ever heard." Addie says again, "thank you scarry monsta." TOOOO cute! She has the cutest little voice...

After the zoo, DJ, Halle, and Addie went to Grandma's and meet their cousins Taylor and Riker and went on the annual hayride through her neighborhood. It was great fun and the kids got a TON of candy. Fun night!!!
Halle and Dad Day
Halle and Jamie went to the Florida v. Citadel football game yesterday. It was cold --5o* is cold for Florida--and I was worried about Halle getting cold during the game. Our tickets are GREAT during hot games, because they tend to get SHADE during the game. Luckily for Halle, I grew up in Utah and learned the fine art of dressing in layers. Halle started with leggings and knee socks, next came a turtleneck, and long sleeve T-shirt. We finished with jeans and a wind lined wind breaker. We topped off her cute Gator look with a knit hat, knit gloves, and a nice scarf. She had a GREAT time at the game!
