I love the rain--well I love the rain today! I am in such a lazy mood, it is perfect. The pitter patter on the windows and roof are almost melodic. The sweet fresh smell in the air after a spring rain storm is so welcome. And our poor area needs water, water, water.
So today, I am glad it is raining....

Snow
Well, shortly after I blogged that I wanted it to snow, my father passed away... Shortly after he passed, it snowed--giant sized flakes that quickly covered the ground. Eight inches is what I was told and it was a spectacular sight. Everything was new and white, pure and bright. It had a very calming. It snowed again the Monday night during dad's viewing--white-out conditions. It was perfect the next day during the funeral, the sun was out and shining, but everything was covered in a fresh blanket of snow. It was absolutely a beautiful sight. Everything was covered in snow and looking out across the snow covered learth, the ground seemed to sparkle. It was a beautiful setting for a final farewell to a wonderful man...
I have some pictures and as soon as I find the disk, I will post the pictures that were taken on Dawn's camera by my cousin.

Utah March 2009
I am in Utah and it is windy and cold outside. They have said that it may snow, and I really hope it does. I hope that there is a heavy blanket of fluffy white snow all over the ground before morning. It is sooo cold--it should snow. Guess I have enjoyed the mild Florida winters for too long and don't think it should be weary and cold without the beauty of snow.
When I left in January, it had snowed a wonderful beautiful 10 inches and the newness and pureness of the snow was everywhere. It was so clam and pretty. I forgot how much I loved looking at the snow--just not driving in it:)
So, here's to a good old fashioned spring snow storm...
