We had the most amazing weekend in Orlando... We had planned to take the kids during their holiday break, but it just didn't happen and I felt really bad... BUT it ended up that we went, met two different family's of friends and had an incredible weekend! We totally scored on a last minute reservation at the Nick Suites at a HUGE discount. Jamie got a free room upgrade because he nicely explained what playoffs were going on at the time. The front desk ladies were happy to be "informed" when guests asked what was going on so to say thanks, they bumped us up to the SpongeBob room:) for free...
We went to Animal Kingdom on Sunday-yea I know-and were in line to go to the petting zoo island (not sure if it is Rafikis or what ) but lined up behind our friends from church:) Ha, we are all in primary and it was kinda funny to bump into fellow church skippers... Guess if you are going to skip church, better go farther away then Disney:) BUT we had the nicest day just chillin'! Their little boy played with Addie while the dad's and big kids rode the bigger coasters and I had someone to talk to while I was riding the triceretops dino ride or diggin for bones:) SO fun!
On Monday, we met my long lost friends from Tampa, Karmen and Linny at Magic Kingdom! It was soooo nice to be out of town and just hangin with the fam! GOOD TIMES!!! Their were 6 little girls and one dude-DJ and he was loving all the female attention. The park was not crowded at all and we were all about ready to leave around 3:00... Wierd how much we got done in such a short amount of time. Felt like we had a full day in EARLY! We had an extra adventure as Halle left her backpack on the tram... WE weren't sure if it was the tram of monorail, so Jamie went on the hunt. We learned that Disney World has three different Monorail trains. It wasn't there, so Jamie ran the tram back out to the parking lot. He FOUND the lost backpack in the tram lot:) YEA! And it only took about 45 minutes--he didn't miss anything but the entrance autugraphs and Magic Carpet (not his favs)-BUT Jasmine and Aladin wrode on the magic carpets with us. The kids loved it!!!
All in all, it was a very good day and I am ready to go back...SOON!!!
